Tanzanias fifth phase President Dr John Magufuli.
At least 20 African heads of states have confirmed that they are going to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Tanzania’s fifth phase President Dr John Magufuli.

Slated for tomorrow, the event will also be attended by all former Tanzania’s presidents and prime ministers.

Speaking to ‘The Guardian’ yesterday, government’s spokesperson, Assa Mwambene said all preparations for the gala event are in full gear.
According to him, the East African heads of state invited to the ceremony include Yoweri Museveni (Uganda), Pierre Nkurunzinza (Burundi), Uhuru Kenyatta (Kenya) and Paul Kagame (Rwanda).

Others are the heads of state of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Jose Eduardo dos Santos (Angola), Joseph Kabila (Democratic Republic of Congo), Jacob Zuma (South Africa) and Joyce Banda (Malawi).

Presidents from Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Zambia, Madagascar, Zimbabwe and Lesotho are also expected to attend the ceremony.

In a related move, the famous Prophet of the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations based in Nigeria, TB Joshua is in the country to attend the ceremony.

The self proclaimed prophet arrived in the city yesterday where he also paid a courtesy call to President Jakaya Kikwete at the State House.

TB Joshua is well known for his prophecies and recently he made the shocking prophecy that an elderly leader in Africa would die. It was during the same time of his prophecy that former Malawian president Bingu wa Mutharika suddenly succumbed to a heart attack.

TB Joshua is renowned for his accurate prophecies and he claims to have seen the death of pop king Michael Jackson, the resignation of Pakistan's ex-president Pervez Musharraf and also the rise of the current President of Ghana Mahama, a few weeks before the events took place, among other things.
The National Electoral Commission (NEC) last week announced Dr John Magufuli of the ruling CCM the President-elect after garnering 58.46 percent of the total votes cast, defeating seven rivals from opposition parties including Edward Lowassa of Chadema.

Dr Magufuli, a trained chemist and government minister appreciated for his corruption-busting tactic of hiding in trucks and popping out at weigh stations to nail crooked police officers, handily won Tanzania’s presidential election, the National Electoral Commission announced on Thursday.

His victory extends the rule of CCM, the once-socialist political party that has dominated Tanzania, since independence in the 1960s.

The outgoing President Jakaya Kikwete announced that November 5 was the date that the President-elect will be sworn in.
